Welcome to Lolly Brooks, Author Page!

I live in Arizona and write about Native American tribes living in the Arizona desert in the early 1800s. I love my state of Arizona and love to explore it.

I also write Clean Romance books about how women and men over the age of 40 meet and fall in love. Romance can happen at any age! “Love is not for only young people. Anyone at any age can fall in love.” Yes, you can have romance in your life again. It doesn’t matter how old you are or where you live, romance is just around the corner.

One wave nearly knocks me over. I cry out. I scramble to my feet. I am trying to make my way back to the beach. The waves are strong. They knock me off my feet.

I sink under the water. I panic. My body tries to fight back to the surface. The water is too strong….

Joseph Carmichael is a brilliant but reclusive writer who spends his days crafting stories about heroes while avoiding the chaos of the world outside. Germ phobic and stuck in his routines, Joseph has convinced himself he’s better off alone. That is, until Nikki walks into his life.

But love isn’t always easy. As Joseph battles the pressures of his career and the walls he’s spent years building, and Nikki questions whether their connection is strong enough to overcome their differences, they must both learn to take a chance on something real.

Set against the backdrop of a bustling city, with a serene park as their sanctuary, Awkward Love is a heartwarming story of vulnerability, connection, and finding love when you least expect it.

Sometimes the hero you’ve been waiting for is the one who’s been afraid to step into the light.

Alope

I am high up on the side of the canyon.

I hear a fearful sound. It is snake with the rattles.

Where is it?

i cant see it.

Suddenly I am flying through the air. Goyathlay has me in his arms. He is jumping from rock to rock. At the bottom of the cliff he sets me down. I can hardly stand up straight.

He saved my life!

He is a strong warrior in our tribe. I owe him my life.

Goyathlay

I can see what is going to happen to Alope.

She is a wonderful maiden of our tribe.

She is a strong woman. I helped her in her Sunrise Ceremony.

I found beautiful white stones for her to wear.

I would like to make her my woman.

She will be a great help for me, especially when I become a leader in our tribe.
